History
Welcome to Heliconia Hotel Batu — a boutique retreat built around the idea that a stay in Batu should feel as calm and considered as the mountains surrounding it. Heliconia began welcoming guests through a soft opening in March 2026, bringing a fresh face to Batu’s accommodation scene: a modern tropical resort concept centred on clean lines, minimalist design, and a genuinely warm sense of hospitality.
Unlike the themed, immersive concepts found elsewhere in Batu, Heliconia’s philosophy is built on Boutique Comfort and Warm Hospitality — the idea that thoughtful design and attentive service, not spectacle, are what make a stay memorable. That’s why the hotel was designed to be accessible to every kind of guest, including disability-friendly facilities throughout the property, and why its interiors lean into natural, soothing tones rather than bold theming.
Sitting close to the heart of Batu, Heliconia was also positioned with mobility in mind — just over a kilometre from Jawa Timur Park 2, and a short distance from Jawa Timur Park 1, Museum Angkut, and the city’s main square. The goal was simple: give guests a comfortable home base with easy reach to everything Batu has to offer, without needing to be inside a theme park to enjoy the convenience of one.
The Experience
Heliconia offers a range of rooms from Deluxe up to Family Suite, each fitted with a Smart TV with streaming access, air conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities, and hot water — practical comforts for both short staycations and longer family trips. The Family Suite goes further with a loft-style layout, a dedicated kids’ play area, and a small kitchenette, built specifically for families who want a bit more room to spread out. Every room comes with a private balcony, and depending on your view, mornings might mean a sunrise over Batu’s rooftops or the silhouette of Mount Panderman and Mount Arjuno in the distance.
Dining here is treated as part of the experience, not an afterthought. Heliconia Eatery serves breakfast and local specialties to start the day, while Heliconia Sky Lounge, set on the rooftop, turns dinner into something to look forward to — city lights below, mountain views on the horizon, and a relaxed evening atmosphere. Beyond the rooms and restaurants, guests have access to a children’s pool, a private event space, high-speed WiFi throughout the property, elevators, and generous parking — all the everyday essentials handled well.
More Than a Place to Sleep
Heliconia isn’t trying to be a spectacle — it’s trying to be the kind of place that makes a Batu trip easier and more comfortable, whether you’re here for a weekend escape, a family holiday, or a bit of both. From sunrise balconies to rooftop dinners, every part of the stay is built around genuine comfort and a warm welcome, with the whole of Batu just a short trip away.
